About this Section

The Crysis Modding Documentation is a comprehensive collection of user contributed articles about the vast arena of Crysis modding. It aims to provide a place where all users can share their in-depth knowledge of CryEngine2. Here, you can find articles pertaining to all aspects of CryEngine2, from basic level design to advanced Flowgraph interaction. With this documentation, you'll be able to go from preliminary design to full realization of your ideas.

The Crysis Modding Documentation is divided into categories, which are then further divided into topics. Each category covers a major area of modding, such as level design and programming. Each topic deals with a specific piece of technology that contributes to the overarching theme of the category. Clicking on a topic link displays the articles in it. An article can reside in more than one topic, as it may reference a broad spectrum of technologies.


Getting Started

The Getting Started section outlines a suggested path of learning for beginning Crysis Modders. It features detailed and error proof exploratory tutorials that are easily followed yet expansive and comprehensive.


Finding an Article

To find an article related to a subject, browse through the appropriate categories or search for the topic in the search box.


Submitting your own Article

To contribute an article, first open the approporiate category. Then click on the New Article link on the top right hand side. Enter the article's title, and click Create Article. Make sure there is no article with the same title; you can tell by seeing if there's lots of content already in the edit box. Replace the compatibility and skill fields as necessary. Write your new article at the end of the edit box. If you're not sure how to edit Wikis, please read How to edit a page. After you're done, click preview to make sure your article looks right and make any changes as necessary. If everything looks right, click Save Page. You have created a new artcle!
